The Love That Split the World Book Review

A harrowing study on love and stories, Emily Henry's debut sparkles. A genre-defying young adult novel that brings into question what existence is, and how we resolve the tension of identity, Natalie's story is both dreamy and heartbreaking, emotional and evocative. The ending of this story especially will cause you to question what is possible, and what can be possible, if only we have the knowledge and belief to make it true. If you want a thought-provoking read that makes you think long after the last page,  The Love That Split the World would be my automatic recommendation.  Emily Henry is a full-time writer, proofreader, and donut connoisseur. She studied creative writing at Hope College and the New York Center for Art & Media Studies, and now spends most of her time in Kentucky. Find her on Twitter @EmilyHenryWrites. Luck of the Titanic Book Review

We have all been obsessed with the story of Titanic at one time or another. So how is it that the amazing 75% survival rate of Chinese passengers never reaches the light of day? Stacey Lee, with her newest release Luck of the Titanic , makes a tribute to the Chinese passengers who did survive one of the largest peacetime maritime disasters in history. Crafting a character that is both stubborn and noble, driven and heroic, Lee's novel is an unforgettable tale of hope and heartache. As much a story about siblinghood as it is about survival, Luck of the Titanic explores the lengths we will go through for ourselves, and for our loved ones, during some of the most principal moments of our lives.  Stacey Lee is the critically acclaimed author of the novels The Downstairs Girl, Under a Painted Sky , and Outrun the Moon , the winner of the PEN Center USA Literary Award for Young Adult Fiction and the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature. Summer camps may still be reopening slowly, but if you're impatient like me, look no further for an experience you won't forget with Abigail Hing Wen's incredible and refreshing debut Loveboat, Taipei . With a plot whose twists and turns will delight you, with characters you will feel like are actually real people, Loveboat, Taipei  will become your favorite summer read—in fact, I've already characterized it as such, and as one of the best contemporary young adult fiction books I've ever read, even though summer has barely started! Wen's intoxicating writing style and Ever's incredible journey of self discovery makes for a compelling and unputdownable story of love, loss, friendship, family, and life that you just won't want to miss.  Abigail Hing Wen holds a BA from Harvard, a JD from Columbia Law School, and an MFA from the Vermont School of Fine Arts. Like Ever, she is obsessed with musicals. When she's not writing stories or listening to her favo...
