I Kissed Shara Wheeler Book Review

Casey McQuiston's first YA novel, I Kissed Shara Wheeler , is a phenomenal read. Chloe's narration is witty and hilarious, each character is delightfully complex, and the premise is familiar ( Paper Towns , anyone?) but done in an incredibly refreshing way. A trademark McQuiston novel, I Kissed Shara Wheeler is an homage to the teenage experience, and a realistic portrait of the challenges and triumphs that culminate to be the high school experience. Casey McQuiston is the author of New York Times bestselling romantic comedies Red, White, & Royal Blue and One Last Stop . As a Louisianian living in New York City, Casey enjoys telling long, loud stories and deep-frying things in a kitchen that's honestly too small for all that. Often in that tiny kitchen is an always-hungry poodle called Pepper. I Kissed Shara Wheeler is Casey's first young adult novel. Mexican Gothic Book Review

Silvia Moreno-Garica's Mexican Gothic is certainly a masterpiece in so many ways. With such a powerful control of language, Moreno-Garcia crafts a novel that is both terrifying in a fantastical and realistic sense.
